Compared to the previous generation of Dell PowerEdge servers, the R620 has more drive bay
options, more PCIe slots, PCIe 3.0, a larger memory footprint, flexible I/O, Express Flash PCIe
solid-state drives, and advanced system management.
The PowerEdge R620 is a direct replacement for the predecessor R610. Table 2 compares some of
